If you would like a chance to make a difference in the lives of people who live in our community and meet new friends, the Hospice of Windsor and Essex County would love to hear from you. Volunteer screening, orientation and training are required.

Residential Homes

We are looking for individuals and teams of volunteers to help out in our
new residential homes by providing:

  • Patient care
  • Reception
  • Meal preparation
  • House-keeping
  • Gardening

We also need volunteers in the communtiy for:

  • Patient care - Visiting & Respite Relief in the patients' home and/or in hospital
  • Phone Call Support
  • Transportation Drivers - to medical appointments and/or the Wellness Centre at Hospice
    (use of Hospice van or own vehicle)

Community Involvement for Students:

For those students who wish to obtain their 40 hours of Community Service,
please consider The Hospice of Windsor & Essex County Inc. for seasonal opportunities during May through August.
Submit your applications beginning May 1st.
Students may assist at Special Events, assembly projects and general work projects.
When inquiring via the on-line form, be sure to note that you are a secondary student.

The Hospice will not be processing Volunteer Applications until February 1, 2010
